Available styles are jazz, latin, classical, rock and more. Also study rhythm & drums, hearing and pitching, theory and reading, orchestral training, breathing and sound production for singers or woodwind players, audio & video editing, composition, improvisation, chord construction, melodic phrasing. Students can choose current pop pieces they like as well as some chosen jazz, classical or pop standards.

Students can choose from high tech electives like audio, video and animation, so they can make their music into CDs and then create film clips to match (this is a great incentive to improve the musical component).

All students receive included in the cost online study links to an engaging visual music education system to reinforce their learning and make home study fun, clear and easy to understand.
CUSTOM BUILT PROGRAMS AND CURRICULUMS
We build music education systems for music students in schools and private education, and students at Maroubra Music School have access to these systems for their own study. A custom built program develops with the student and after a while becomes a curriculum just for them, that can be used and drawn upon throughout their academic music life. One major advantage of this system is recall and retention. Many adult ex music students report that they can't remember most of the songs or etudes they used to play. Students using this system tend to remember all their practice, and will practice more, and will also challenge themselves to develop their curriculum. These programs can be used in conjunction with grade studies such as AMEB or Trinity.
